Who we are
Lockyer Valley Snake Catchers captures and relocates snakes from homes, farms, sheds, schools and businesses. We also inspect properties for snake activity, help with possums and brush turkeys, and run snake safety presentations for schools, workplaces and community groups.
The business is licensed and insured, and we take calls 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Harrison, director

Harrison leads the business and attends call-outs himself, alongside the team. His approach is simple: get there safely, deal with the snake properly, and leave people knowing more than they did before.
Call-out coverage
Harrison works with professional local contractors to help keep the phone answered and call-outs covered around the clock, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
How we handle snakes
- Every snake is treated as potentially dangerous until it’s contained, whatever it looks like.
- We use proper snake-handling equipment and keep people and pets well back.
- Snakes are relocated to suitable habitat away from homes. We don’t kill them.
- Before we leave, we explain what likely attracted the snake and what you can change.
- Possums, brush turkeys and other native wildlife get the same careful, humane treatment.
What we value
- Calm. A snake in the house is stressful. We keep things calm on the phone and on site, and we don’t add drama.
- Humane. Snakes are part of the local environment. We capture and relocate them. We don’t kill them.
- Honest. We tell you what’s realistic, including when a snake has moved on and can’t be found.
- Educational. The best outcome is fewer close calls in future, so we always explain what we found and why.
Why the Lockyer Valley
The valley is good snake country. Mice and rats around crops, hay and feed bring brown snakes. Aviaries, chook pens and roof spaces attract carpet pythons. Creeks and dams suit red-bellied black snakes. And the new estates around Plainland and the edges of Gatton and Laidley are built on ground snakes were already using.
We work across this country day and night, from Withcott and Helidon in the west to Lowood and Fernvale in Somerset. That local knowledge shapes the advice we give, and it helps us find snakes in the places they actually hide. See all the areas we service.
